Brigid Soldavini-Clapper, CPA
Originally from Bristol Connecticut, Brigid earned her Bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1982. After graduating, she moved to Naples to start her family and her career.
In February 1986, Brigid started the business that is now Soldavini & Caldwell CPA, PA. Her initial goal was to be able to work from home so she could pursue her career and still be home to spend time with her two sons. As the business grew, she expanded services, hired a staff, and rented office space, all while maintaining the family first goals for herself and her employees. In 1992, Brigid earned her Certified Public Accountant designation and continued to expand her client base and business. She is currently a member of the AICPA and the FICPA professional organizations.
Brigid has been involved with various local charities and non-profit organizations including the Naples Equestrian Challenge where she has served as the Chief Financial Officer for eight years and is currently the President of the Board of Directors. Brigid has also received various awards and honors including the local 2006 Business Woman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee, the 2006 National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee, the 2007 Woman of Excellence from the National Association of Professional and Executive Women, and the 2011 America's Top Accountant award. Brigid was also voted Gulfshore's "Best in Client Satisfaction" in 2007 from Gulfshore Business Magazine.
Cathy Caldwell, CPA
Originally from Fairmont, West Virginia, Cathy graduated from Fairmont State College in 1989 with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Fairmont State College. While at FSC, she achieved all-conference honors as a varsity tennis player in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and represented her school in the national NAIA collegiate tennis tournament in Kansas City, Missouri.
Cathy began her professional career working as an accounting assistant in the health care industry in her home state of West Virginia. She moved to Naples in 1995 and began working as the accounting manager for the David Lawrence Center, and then joined the Soldavini firm in 1999. She became a full-partner in January of 2006 and then earned her Certified Public Accountant designation in January 2008.
Cathy is currently a member of the AICPA and the FICPA and continues to pursue her love of sports with various local tennis teams and associations including the United States Tennis Association. She lends support to various local charitable organizations and has previously served on the board of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance in Collier County.
